Position
Overview:
+ Provides
subject matter expertize and technical support to all stakeholders of EESS
business, including but not limited to PDS, COEs (PSE, PSA, ACE) in the area of
predictive diagnostics, and particularly in the field of diagnostics using
partial discharge method as applicable to Medium and High voltage Class of
electrical Equipment, such as Large Rotating Machines (generators and motors),
Switchgear, Transformers and Cables
+ Self-manages
assigned projects while being accountable to perform work within budgeted cost
estimates
+ Interprets
specs and customer inquiries and design technical proposals and pricing for
customers
+ Participates
in customer visits to assist sales
+ Develops
and conducts specialized training for customers (internal and external)
+ Mentors
and leads other engineers on projects
Essential
Functions:
+ Acquires
and maintains required safety certification for access to and work on the
customer sites
+ Maintains
strict compliance with Eaton safety policies and deployment of safety programs
+ Performs
and acts as a lead in on-site data collection, report presentations and delivery
of related training where applicable
+ Participates
in related product development programs, in order to meet the product line
strategic and financial goals for the assigned projects
+ Provides
day-to-day technical support to the peer entities and individuals regardless of
their location
+ Participates
in relevant associations, standard committees and writing groups
+ Authors
and presents technical papers in relevant professional publications,
conferences and forums
+ Interfaces
with marketing and sales in promotion and visibility of Eaton in utility,
commercial and industrial markets
+ Actively
participates in development and delivery of training of additional resources in
his/her area of expertise
+ Provides
strategic input in identification of and securing business with prospective
customers
+ Interfaces
with customers, sales, outside vendors, manufacturing plants, product
divisions, and functional support staff in procuring respective services and
consulting
+ Builds
a long-lasting relationship with the customers, sales, R&D, operations and
other departments
Position
Criteria:
+ Possesses
solid working knowledge of basic diagnostics testing methods of electrical
machines, apparatus and power cables of equipment of up to 115 (138) kV
+ Recognized
as a technical expert in partial discharge. Act as an Eaton
ambassador to trade organizations/conferences (i.e. IEEE, Doble conferences) by
presenting papers, case studies and demonstrating equipment
+ Good
knowledge of digital communication protocols, such as TCP/IP, Modbus, and
similar
+ Possesses
experience, resourcefulness and strong analytical skills in the area of failure
analysis of distribution equipment
+ Understanding
of the company?s and competitor?s solutions, products and services in the field
of predictive diagnostics
+ Demonstrated
ability to develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complaints
+ Ability
to communicate effectively and equally well with senior corporate executives,
engineers and technicians
+ Excellent
interpersonal, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills in
English, proficiency in one other major language will be an advantage
+ Strong
computer skills in Microsoft products including MS Access and SQL server and
Computer communication skills in MODBUS and IP protocols
+ Demonstrated
ability to teach and mentor others
+ Possess
and maintain and valid and unrestricted drivers license
Qualifications
Basic
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor?s
degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
+ Minimum
of 5 years of power distribution field service engineering experience OR 3
years experience working with and/or applying partial discharge technology in
combination with evaluating and servicing medium voltage distribution system
and apparatus
+ Legally
authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
+ No
relocation is provided. Only candidates that reside within 50 miles of one of
the listed locations will be considered.
Preferred
Qualifications:
+ Masters
or PhD in electrical engineering
+ EIT
or PE license in at least one state
+ Experience
using Microsoft Access
+ Fundamental
knowledge of partial discharge
+ Experience
with Modbus and TCP/IP
+ 5
years experience in power systems or power plants

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
