Lead Sales Engineer

Eaton'sElectrical Sector North America Sales team is seeking a Lead SalesEngineer. The role will be basedout of the Sandston, VA office location.
The PrimaryResponsibilities Include:
The primary function ofthe Lead Sales Engineer is to market and sell Eaton's products and services toobtain orders that are profitable to Eaton. The position is expected to achieveelectrical distribution and engineering services solutions sales results. Thiswill be expected in the geographic market region consistent with theexpectations of seasoned sales professionals. The primary responsibility is tomanage the assigned customer base, to increase sales in the local marketplace,application guidance and technical assistance to assigned customers. Thisposition is expected to develop, grow, and maintain relationships with Eatonemployees, specifiers, and customers including Eaton Authorized Distributors.
Other EssentialFunctions Include:
The primary functionsinclude: understanding Eaton's support structure available to sales, includingEatonCare; understanding Eaton proprietary systems and software includingBidmanager and VISTA; applying technical knowledge for all products that areinvolved with the sales assignment; comprehension of project specifications anddrawings; ability to gain confidence of customers and become a trusted sourceof information about Eaton offerings.
Essential job tasks include but are not limited to : 1) Develop and executesales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements; 2) quoteprojects and negotiate correct required pricing; 3) prepare sales presentationsto create product understanding and awareness; 4) build relationships with keycustomers to enhance long-term business prospects; 5) work with factories toresolve technical issues while working with customers to resolve qualityissues; 6) canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to ever changingpricing and delivery requirements; 7) assist team to develop a coordinatedsales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions; 8) obtainongoing training on both functional and technical skills.
BasicQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum five (5) years of electrical industry experience
Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates mustcurrently reside within 50 miles of Sandston, VA to be considered.
PreferredQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
5 years of electricalindustry sales experience

Experience working with Bidmanager and Vista

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
